Boxyan (also marketed as Product Box Builder for WooCommerce) is a WordPress plugin sold and supported by GetWooBooster (“we”, “us”, or “our”). For privacy-related requests about Boxyan, contact us through getwoobooster.com or your Freemius customer account.

When you buy a license, Freemius, Inc. processes the transaction on our behalf. Freemius’ own privacy practices are described in the Freemius Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

2.1 When you purchase a license

Through Freemius checkout, we and Freemius may receive:

• Name and email address
• Billing address and country (for tax and invoicing)
• Payment-related metadata (card type, last four digits, transaction ID — processed by payment providers; we do not store full card numbers)
• License details (plan, sites allowed, renewal status)
• IP address and browser/device data for fraud prevention and compliance

2.2 When you contact support

If you email us or open a support ticket, we collect the information you provide (name, email, site URL, error logs, screenshots) solely to help resolve your request.

2.3 When you use the plugin on your site

Boxyan runs on your WordPress installation. Store configuration, box builder content, customer selections, and order-related data are stored in your site’s database and WooCommerce orders — not on TrendyTheme servers.

The plugin may store locally on your server:

• Plugin settings and merchant preferences (WooCommerce options)
• Box builder post content and metadata
• Optional AI provider settings and API keys you enter (keys remain on your server unless you send them to your chosen AI provider)
• Cached product query results (transients) for performance

2.4 Freemius SDK in the plugin

The plugin includes the Freemius WordPress SDK for licensing, updates, and opt-in usage insights. Depending on your choices during activation, Freemius may collect limited diagnostic and usage data as described in Freemius’ Privacy Policy. You can review and manage SDK-related permissions in your WordPress admin.

3. How we use information

We use personal data to:

• Deliver and activate your license
• Provide updates, security patches, and customer support
• Send transactional emails (receipts, license keys, renewal notices via Freemius)
• Comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations
• Improve Boxyan based on aggregated, non-identifying feedback where permitted

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following bases:

We share data only with service providers who help us operate Boxyan, including:

• Freemius, Inc. — payments, licensing, subscriptions, and customer accounts (Privacy Policy)
• Payment processors (e.g. Stripe, PayPal) — as integrated by Freemius
• Your AI provider — only if you enable AI features and supply your own API key; requests go directly from your server to that provider under their terms

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6. International transfers

Freemius and its subprocessors may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, Freemius uses appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. See the Freemius Data Processing Addendum for details.

7. Data retention

We retain purchase and support records as long as needed to fulfill our contract, comply with law, and resolve disputes. License and billing records are typically retained for the life of your account plus applicable statutory periods. Data on your WordPress site is controlled by you and your hosting provider.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

9. Cookies and this website

This site is hosted at getwoobooster.com and may use essential cookies for basic functionality. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent. Freemius checkout uses its own cookies as described in Freemius’ policies.

10. Children

Boxyan is a business product for website owners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated via email or in-product notice.
